The Compliance/Internal Reporting Office of Bielefeld University endeavours to make its electronic whistleblowing system accessible in compliance with the requirements of the Ordinance on the Creation of Barrier-free Information Technology in accordance with the Disability Equality Act of North Rhine-Westphalia (Barrier-free Information Technology Ordinance of North Rhine-Westphalia - BITVNRW, implementation of Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council).
The following declaration on accessibility documents the implementation status for the electronic whistleblower system of the Compliance/Internal Reporting Centre www.uni-bielefeld-hinweisgeben.de in accordance with BITV NRW.
Status of compliance with the requirements
Due to the following incompatibilities, this website is only partially compatible with the Ordinance on the Creation of Barrier-free Information Technology in accordance with the North Rhine-Westphalia Disability Equality Act (BITV NRW) and EU Directive 2016/2102.

In cooperation with the ZAB (accessibility services (ZAB)), problems have been documented which the provider/contractual partner (Vispato) of the electronic whistleblowing system should rectify as quickly as possible.

Enforcement procedure
If you have not received a satisfactory response to accessibility-related notifications or enquiries within six weeks, you can contact the ombudsman's office for accessible information technology. The ombudsman's office is assigned to the commissioner for the interests of people with disabilities and is legally anchored in §§ 10d, 10e BGG NRW and §§ 9 ff of the BITV NRW.
